Will McGuinness wear a bowler hat if elected?

Martin McGuinness believes he should be the next president of Ireland. He has said that, if elected, he will not shrink from meeting all heads of state, which, of course, by default, includes our own Most Gracious Majesty.

This is all to the good, but some people will perhaps wonder if he is now also willing to wear a bowler hat to official engagements in order to demonstrate proper empathy and solidarity with the majority community in the north of the island?
