Will we get an independence referendum?
John Simpson (June 17) may or may not be right in his analysis of the Scottish independence referendum.
Irrespective of the outcome, the referendum is a win-win for the Scottish independence movement. If they win outright, then they get to immediately implement their governmental reforms.
If they don't, then they pocket all of the 'devo max' benefits, gain confidence running a Government with increased powers, and 'get comfortable in their own skin'.
The real question for Northern Ireland is when its electorate will also be given the chance to vote for independence?
