More movie magic

News that another major Hollywood studio is to make a movie in Northern Ireland is confirmation of the province's standing as a film location.

Attractive incentive packages, good marketing, positive encouragement from the First and Deputy First Ministers and a strong talent pool have all combined to promote a feel-good factor.

The global success of HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones has been an invaluable advertisement to other studio bosses of Northern Ireland's ability to produce the goods. Now Universal is to spend three months shooting a new Dracula film here.

Who would have thought that blood-letting in Belfast would one day be a positive image to go around the world?
