Tory footballers beat journalists

By Tom Moseley

There was more heartache on the football pitch yesterday, as lobby journalists threw away a 2-1 lead to lose 4-2 to the Conservatives.

After last week's row over the penalty awarded to Ed Balls, there were no such flashpoints yesterday, although grumbling hacks spoke of "ringers" bolstering the Tories' ranks.

Much of the attention - and the Press cameras - focused on under-fire Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt (right), who was running the line.
