When they build it, he will come.

Boucher Road Playing Fields is once again a hive of activity as construction crews move in, and that can mean only one thing — there’s a major outdoor concert on the way.

Ed Sheeran has been everywhere these past few years. And he’s arriving in Belfast for two dates on Thursday and Friday night.

Around 80,000 people are expected to descend on the south of the city venue and promoters are promising those who have been lucky enough to get their hands on a ticket are in for a spectacular treat.

A revolving 360-degree stage will allow even more people than usual the chance to get as close to the music as possible.

The Shape of You singer will be performing in the middle of the venue surrounded by crowds — the same set-up that led to rave reviews for the other dates of his Ireland Mathematics tour, including a recent sold-out Dublin concert in Croke Park.

The stage is nearly set. Let the music commence.
