The imposition of another lockdown undoubtedly makes some people want to drive to beauty spots for a change of scenery, while staying within the rules.

However, there are still many examples of people bending or breaking those rules in various parts of Northern Ireland, and in some cases doing so inadvertently.

Our picture of the busy traffic on the Causeway coast at the weekend shows exactly why local representatives expressed concern over the vast numbers of visitors.

It seems that despite all warnings, intentions to maintain good behaviour can begin to unravel very easily.

People cannot be blamed for looking for things to do, but they must remember to adhere strictly to the rules about frequent hand-washing, social distancing, wearing a face covering, and avoiding crowds.

The coronavirus remains very dangerous, and we are still a long way from defeating it.
