Editor's Viewpoint: A little off colour
Sir Edward Carson, the figurehead of unionism, is turning green. Parts of his statue in the grounds of Stormont are oxidising, giving it a distinctly nationalist hue.
Of course, he never wanted a partitioned Ireland in the first place, so perhaps nature is merely showing his true colours after all these years.
Such a suggestion would make some of his unionist successors turn various shades of red, white and blue.
Maybe Northern Ireland will end up like South Africa and have a rainbow coalition.
