Music legend Van Morrison's album a tribute to his staying power
Sir Van Morrison does not court affection like ordinary musicians, often portraying a taciturn image to the public. Instead, he lets his musical genius do the talking for him and it seems he still has plenty to say.
He is due to release his 38th album soon - the second within three months - demonstrating the work ethic which, allied to his talent, has kept him a global star for decades.
The soon to be released album will feature several jazz standards, a genre that Sir Van has excelled in during his career. Called Versatile, it is an appropriate name for a musical collection by a man, now in his seventh decade, who epitomises that description.
