Incredibly proud of staff and thankful to customers

“I’m incredibly proud of all our staff who have worked so hard to raise this amazing total during our One Week in June campaign. A big thank-you also to all our customers who really dug deep to help us make a real difference to AWARE. I visited one of their support groups and saw at first hand the fantastic and vital work they do to help people with mental health issues,” explained Terry Robb.

Strong fundraising right up to the Big Reveal

Throughout June bank staff organised so many different events and challenges, from running, cycling and mountain hikes to raffles, afternoon teas, auctions, busking, quizzes and BBQs.

On the day of the Big Reveal staff were fundraising right up to lunchtime, with senior management staff dishing up breakfasts in the canteen at Ulster Bank’s head offices and Danesfort staff running a superb car washing enterprise for colleagues.

I’m so grateful to everyone at Ulster Bank it really has been a brilliant and extremely enjoyable partnership.

Opening up important conversations

“In addition to all the wonderful fundraising the partnership has opened up important conversations about mental health with customers chatting to bank staff in a very open and honest way. This is so important and will have a very positive and lasting impact.”

During June, Ulster Bank is working with AWARE to raise funds to support the charity’s good work and to raise awareness of key issues in relation to mental wellbeing. They’ll be sharing tips and guidance on managing your mental well-being, as well as some of the stories about Ulster Bank staff’s fund raising activities throughout Northern Ireland.
