Ulster Bank Get Cash helps save Mike McGoldrick’s Christmas

Like Mike McGoldrick, you’ll want to make sure that your Christmas plans aren’t ruined because you don’t have your debit card

We all know that Christmas is a hectic time of year when things can be lost, forgotten or misplaced in the midst of all of the shopping, partying, family activities, and other Christmas pressures.

That’s why Ulster Bank is highlighting its Get Cash and Emergency Cash services at this time of year.

These are designed to help customers who don’t have access to their debit card because they may have forgotten, lost, or misplaced it.

Get Cash and Emergency Cash allow customers to access cash from Ulster Bank ATMs using a code provided to them either by phone or through the bank’s mobile app.

These could be very useful solutions for party-goers, last minute shoppers and others who find themselves having to cope temporarily without a bank card over the festive period.

Emergency Cash

Emergency Cash is for Ulster Bank customers whose debit card is lost or stolen. They simply call the bank to get a code to use at any Ulster Bank ATM in Northern Ireland. (Calls cost 10p per minute, plus 16p connection charge from a BT line. Calls from other networks may vary. Calls may be recorded.)

Customers can withdraw up to £300 if they are an Ulster Bank Anytime Banking customer, or up to £60 if you're not, provided the money is available in your account. (Customers need to have £20 in their account in order to use Emergency Cash.)

Ulster Bank will also cancel their card at the same time.

Get Cash

Get Cash is a service within Ulster Bank’s mobile banking app that lets customers withdraw money quickly without using their bank card. It's great for those times when you pop out during your lunch hour but don't have cash or a debit card on you.

From the 'Get Cash' option within the mobile banking app, choose the amount of cash that you would like to withdraw. Ulster Bank then provides a secure cash code that will be valid for three hours. You’ll need at least £10 available, including any overdraft. Maximum of two Get Cash withdrawals per day, up to £130 in total.

Simply visit any Ulster Bank cash machine, press the 'Enter' key and then follow the on-screen prompts to get your cash
