American Football: Craigavon Cowboys planning to earn their spurs in whole new ball game

They took part in a eight- a-side tournament Woodburn, Carrickfergus on Sunday, September 16th, in what was a first for the club.

It was the first outing for the Cowboys in fully-kitted games, and although they suffered two defeats and a draw, they were not downhearted.

The winners of the tournament were the Belfast Trojans, who were undefeated in three games, while the Carrickfergus Knights had one win, one loss and a draw. The Belfast Bulls had two draws and a loss.

All teams are actively seeking new players for their youth teams, and will be recruiting senior players for next year's season.
