Carl Frampton: Even Kyle Lafferty couldn't beat me at Windsor Park and he's 6'5
Carl Frampton is so confident that he will have his hand raised after his summer fight at Windsor Park that he's willing to take on anyone - even Kyle Lafferty.
In a post-bout interview with UTV's Ruth Gorman on Saturday evening, the fighter said he fancied his chances of seeing off the Northern Ireland striker if he was given the chance.
And with that confidence, he's not overly bothered whether he will be taking on WBO title holder Oscar WValdez or the winner of the Lee Selby v Josh Warrington fight when he steps into the ring in August.
"It doesn't matter, I'm ready for anyone," he said. "I think I'll beat anyone. Kyle Lafferty wouldn't even beat me and he's 6'5. No-one's beating me at Windsor."
Lafferty, however, was quick to put forward his case:
Come on mate you haven’t seen me swing, Iv got the reach and ask your mate @dallas_stuart about my upper cut.— klaff10 (@laffk10) April 22, 2018
But he couldn't rely on his Northern Ireland team-mates to back him up:
Your not that good with your feet tho big man👀 so that would let you down— stuart dallas (@dallas_stuart) April 22, 2018
