Conrad Cummings announces split with Cyclone promotions

Conrad Cummings has announced he has parted ways with manager Barry McGuigan's, Cyclone promotions.

The Coalisland fighter took to Twitter to say that he had parted company with trainer Shane McGuigan.

He said: "I want to thank Barry, Shane, and all the McGuigans and Cyclone promotions for the opportunities they have offered me to date."

Cummings added: "After a recent meeting it was clear that our time has come to an end. Also, after speaking with my family and closest around me I believe it is time to move on."

The European middleweight champion is the second Northern Irish fighter to leave Cyclone promotions.

Former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton ended his partnership with the McGuigan run company last month.
