If I win my next fight, I want to fight Carl Frampton: Santa Cruz
Mexican boxer Leo Santa Cruz has said he's game to complete the trilogy against Carl Frampton, and is 'positive' it will happen in 2019.
In an interview with FightHype, Santa Cruz said, "If I win my next fight, I want to fight Carl Frampton - people want that fight, I want that fight.
"I want to make the third fight against him - he wants the third fight too.
"I'm positive it's going to happen next year."
The pair have met twice before, with Carl taking the victory in Brooklyn first time out in 2016, before Santa Cruz got his revenge in the rematch in Las Vegas six months later.
The Mexican remains the only fighter to have beaten Frampton as a professional, and the Tiger's Bay man has since voiced his desire to avenge that loss and complete the trilogy.
Frampton looked back to his best against Luke Jackson at Windsor Park last month, so there's no time like the present to set up a mouthwatering clash with his greatest rival.
Will fans get to see the final installment of the trilogy?
