Our Kid would love to take on your Carl Frampton

By Brendan Ingle

I think this is going to be a great fight, one of the best in the super-bantamweight division, and I think Frampton will win it.

Not only do I think he will win the fight but I want him to win it because I want to see Frampton in against our guy Kid Galahad who's the European champion – that would be another great fight.

Frampton is a very talented lad and he punches very hard and he's beaten the other fella before so I expect him to do it again.

Frampton is a smart fighter and he has that steel that all the Belfast fighters have.

And of course he has the great Belfast crowd behind him – I've always admired them and I remember when Barney Eastwood had boxing really going over there and it was great, during the really bad times. He never got the credit he deserved for that.

Now it seems they are buzzing again, they will be right behind Frampton and that makes a difference as well.

The crowd over there know their boxing and they will help him get over the line.

Brendan's son Jon, who coaches Galahad, is also backing Frampton to deliver – but only after a "tear-up".

"I think it's going to be a real tear-up from the start but then Frampton will nail him and knock him out again.

"Martinez has done really well, causing an upset when he won the World title in America and then winning in Japan so he is going to be more dangerous than the last time."
