IBF World featherweight champion Lee Selby could still be Carl Frampton's next opponent, despite the Jackal's reported split with Barry McGuigan and Cyclone Promotions, according to the Welshman's manager Jamie Sanigar.
Regardless of any issues behind the scenes between Frampton and McGuigan, Sanigar is eager for the two boxers to sort out the blockbuster fight.
"We are always vocal about that fight and want to make it happen," Sanigar said of the potential clash. "The Frampton fight makes logical sense."
The pair had previously been linked with a potential unification showdown when Frampton held the WBA World featherweight belt.
The Jackal is currently on the lookout for a return to the ring after his fight with Andres Gutierrez was cancelled due to neither fighter being available for a rescheduled date in November.
Last night there was still no comment from the fighter or his management on the split reports with Frampton due to fly to Las Vegas for next weekend's Mayweather-McGregor mega-fight.
