Ryan Burnett turned on the style on his return to the ring with a sixth-round stoppage against Jelbirt Gomera at the Ulster Hall.

The former unified bantamweight champion was back in action for the first time since retiring hurt against Nonito Donaire and looked as sharp as he ever did.

Combining some nice punches to his Filipino opponent, Burnett forced the referee to call a halt to the fight when Gomera turned his back in the sixth.

It sets up a potential marquee fight later in the year, with promoters Top Rank eager to see him fight either Naoya Inoue or potentially a rematch with Donaire.

Elsewhere on the night, Marc McCullough kept his career alive with a stunning knockout of Dubliner Declan Geraghty to become IBF European Super-featherweight champion.

Meanwhile, Sean McComb stopped Miroslav Serban in the first round and Steven Donnelly got a fourth round stoppage on Edwin Palacios.
