Savour Carl... there'll never be another, insists Barry

By David Kelly

Manager Barry McGuigan said what everyone else was thinking when announcing Carl Frampton's exciting July 29 clash with Andres Gutierrez. "Enjoy him while you can because we will never see his like again," said the former champion.

Should Frampton come through against the 23-year-old Mexican then McGuigan will look to match him in a world title fight with either WBA champion Leo Santa Cruz or IBF titleholder Lee Selby, while WBC champion Gary Russell has also emerged as a target as this bout is a WBC title eliminator.

"We're going through a period of unprecedented success for UK and Irish boxing and Carl is at the forefront. He was the UK's 2016 fighter of the year and the American boxing writers' fighter of the year which shows you why I believe he's a future Hall of Fame fighter," added McGuigan.
