Video: Belfast boxer Paddy Barnes makes fan's day with sparring session
Belfast boxer Paddy Barnes gave one fan an afternoon he'll never forget when he allowed him to step inside the ring with the Olympic Bronze medalist.
He took part in a special sparring session with fan Gary McLelland and might have regretted the decision when the newcomer knocked him down for the ten count!
Trainer Danny Vaughan paid tribute to Barnes for taking the time for a fan.
"Pro boxers take some s*** on social media off keyboard warriors and don’t get enough credit for the good things they do.
"Here’s Paddy Barnes after doing a tough 12 rounds on the pads, he took time to spar Gary McLelland and make this lads day."
Barnes is currently in the middle of a training camp ahead of his massive WBC Flyweight title fight with Cristofer Rosales at Windsor Park on August 18.
The night will be headlined by Belfast fighter Carl Frampton achieving his dream of fighting infront of a packed crowd at Windsor when he defends his Interim WBO World Featherweight title against Luke Jackson.
Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury will also be in action against Francesco Pianeta as he continues his comeback.
