By Sammy Hamill

Craig Breen has confirmed he will bid to make it a hat-trick of Irish Tarmac Rally Championship wins in round three of the series, the Easter Stages, in a fortnight's time.

Having missed out on a place in the 2019 World Championship after his Citroen contract wasn't renewed, Breen has been keeping active, contesting not just the top Irish series but the Italian Championship as well.

The Waterford driver has a busy two weeks ahead with the San Remo Rally on April 13-14 followed by the Easter Stages on April 19-20.

Breen has already won the Galway and West Cork rounds of the Tarmac Championship and the double Circuit of Ireland winner is seeded No.1 in the entry list for the Wastewater Solutions Easter event which is based at the Dundrod Grand Prix circuit.

His R5 Ford Fiesta will start ahead of the similar cars of reigning Tarmac champion Josh Moffett, Alastair Fisher, Sam Moffett and Declan Boyle.

Northern Ireland champion Derek McGarrity is at No.6, his WRC Ford Fiesta interrupting the sequence of R5 contenders which continues with the Hyundai of Manus Kelly, the Fiestas of Callum Devine and Jonny Greer and the Skoda of Desi Henry.

Scheduled to make its first appearance in Ireland at No.14 is a Proton Iriz which will be driven by record-equalling Tarmac champion Eugene Donnelly.
