The Arenacross Tour arrives in Northern Ireland over the weekend of January 27/28 at the SSE Arena, Belfast, for the only double-header of the 2017 championship.

There will be plenty to keep motorsport fans entertained with fast-paced, all-action motocross racing and high-octane, high-air freestyle stunts and trickery.

For a partisan crowd looking for home-grown talent to cheer on, there is local interest in each of the four AX race groups.

In the Youth classes, nine-year-old Charley Irwin from Ballyclare joins the 65cc class.

He's been having great success winning the Ulster and Irish Autos MX championships and finishing fourth in the opening round of the Arenacross Tour in Manchester.

Matthew Beattie (12) from Newtownards is contesting the SuperMinis aboard an 85cc KTM.

Going up through the ranks, and 19-year-old Jason Meara from Loughbrickland is in the Pro-Lites, formerly known as Rookies group, and he's just been gifted an incredible boost to his AX racing career by being selected to join the RFX St Blazey Pro team.
