Temple set for a classic

Alan Irwin, James Courtney and the legendary Raymond McCullough will lead a parade of pre-1990 racing motorcycles tonight from 7.30pm on the famous Temple 100 course, on the outskirts of Saintfield.

The event, organised by Temple & District Vintage & Classic Club, is to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Also in attendance will be British Supersport Championship leaders Mar-Train Racing.

Their number one rider Stuart Easton will fly in from Scotland to attend the event, primarily to meet the legend that is Ray McCullough.

Tyco Suzuki rider Guy Martin will be the star name on the bill at Saturday's Cookstown Motorcycle Show. The charity event will again be held in the grounds of First Presbyterian Church on Fairhill Road in Cookstown. The enigmatic racer come TV celebrity, will be joined by former 'Mr NW200' Steve Plater. It gets underway at 10am. .
