Instonians out to open gap with win over champions

By Ian Callender

While the Irish Cup takes centre stage tomorrow there is a huge match in the Robinson Services Premier League as defending champions Waringstown visit league leaders Instonians

The teams have byes in the Irish Cup, as holders and beaten semi-finalists, and while Instonians are one of only two teams to have played twice in the league, another win tomorrow would give them a 12 points advantage over Waringstown who would have only one game in hand.

The three Premier League games abandoned on the opening day take place on Sunday, with Waringstown visiting promoted Armagh, while the games at Carrick and Muckamore will see the winners maintain their unbeaten start.
