Ireland line up one-day international against West Indies in September

Ireland are to face the West Indies in a one-day international at home in September 2017, Cricket Ireland has announced.

The fixture, to be staged on September 13, is in addition to the West Indies' tour of England next summer and will form part of the warm-up for the one-day series against Eoin Morgan's men.

Half-centuries from Paul Stirling, Ed Joyce and Niall O'Brien helped Ireland to a four-wicket win when they last played the West Indies in the World Cup in January.

"I'm really looking forward to bringing the West Indies team to Ireland," West Indies coach Phil Simmons said.

"I had eight great years as Ireland coach and made some lasting friendships as well as winning trophies.

"It should be a tough contest and Irish conditions will be ideal in helping our preparations for England."
