North West Warriors have all five current Ireland internationals available for the opening two inter-provincials of the season in La Manga this month.

William Porterfield and Boyd Rankin lead a strong 13-man panel which also includes Ireland team-mates Stuart Thompson, Craig Young and Andy McBrine, who will captain the squad again this season.

The new name in the squad is wicket-keeper Marcus Poskitt, who has moved from Coleraine to Premiership champions Bready, and although Young has left Magheramason and will play club cricket in the NCU with North Down this season, as an Ireland-contracted player he can still play for his home union.

There is further experience in David Rankin and Brigade captain Andy Britton but the youngsters still continue to get their chance with Poskitt joined by Ross Allen, Aaron Gillespie and Andy Austin.

The Warriors' first match is the first Ireland representative game to be played outside the island, on Monday, April 22 against one-day cup holders Leinster Lightning with the tie against the Northern Knights to follow three days later.

Warriors squad: A McBrine (capt), B Rankin, S Thompson, W Porterfield, C Young, D Rankin, A Britton, M Poskitt, A Austin, W McClintock, R Allen, A Gillespie, G Kennedy.
