Derry hammered by Kerry 6-17 to 1-08 in Minor final

Derry have been beaten comprehensively by Kerry 6-17 to 1-08 in the All-Ireland Minor final at Croke Park.

Kerry stormed their way to a fourth title in a row, helped along by a dominant performance from man of the match David Clifford, who scored four goals and four points.

Derry's single goal came through a Paddy Quigg penalty in the second half.

The Ulster side came into the match as underdogs, having pulled off a semi-final upset against Dublin three weeks ago.

Sunday's match will be the last All-Ireland Minor final, with the under-18s competition being replaced by an under-17s competition next year.
