Sevilla have re-signed Aleix Vidal from Barcelona for 8.5million euros (£7.5million).
Barcelona recruited Vidal from Sevilla in 2015, and the full-back has since helped the Catalan club land eight trophies across three seasons.
“Barcelona and Sevilla have reached an agreement for the transfer of Aleix Vidal,” read a Barcelona statement. “Sevilla will pay Barcelona 8.5m euros, plus 2m in variables.”
Vidal racked up 49 games in his three years at Barcelona, with the club winning two league titles, three Copa del Rey crowns, the Spanish Super Cup, Club World Cup and European Super Cup.
Vidal’s sale follows shortly after Barca’s recruitment of another A Vidal – Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich.
