Crystal Palace sign goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri
Cavalieri worked with Palace boss Roy Hodgson when he was at Anfield.
Crystal Palace have signed former Liverpool goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri.
The 35-year-old was a free agent after being released by Fluminense in his native Brazil at the end of the 2016/17 season and worked with Palace boss Roy Hodgson when he was at Anfield.
Cavalieri joins following a successful trail and hopes he can add some experience to the Eagles squad as they battle to stay in the Premier League.
“I am very happy to be here and have been training with the guys for some time now,” Cavalieri told the club’s official website.
“The atmosphere in the dressing room has been really good and they have received me very well so we can talk a lot and get to know everyone.
“I am very happy with this opportunity.”
Palace, meanwhile, also confirmed on Friday afternoon midfielder Jordon Mutch has joined Vancouver Whitecaps on loan until the end of December.
Mutch, 26, made 40 appearances during his three years at Palace, having signed from QPR, and spent the second half of last season on loan at Sky Bet Championship side Reading.
