Barcelona holy trinity Neymar, Suarez and Messi, show their quality
After a turbulent week, Barcelona's front three all scored in a big 3-1 victory over Atletico Madrid that eases the pressure on Luis Enrique, with Lionel Messi shaking off tabloid speculation to deliver a virtuoso performance.
Neymar opened the scoring on 12 minutes while Luis Suarez (35) and Messi (87) also got on the scoresheet.
A Mario Mandzukic penalty on 57 minutes made Barca sweat a little, until Messi had the final say.
Messi's goal was a fitting finale on a night where, even flanked by Neymar and Suarez, the Argentinian was the star.
David Moyes' Real Sociedad were held 1-1 at Granada.
Meanwhile, Juventus beat Napoli at Stadio San Paolo for the first time in 15 years to pull three points clear at the top of Serie A.
Paul Pogba's fantastic volley lit the touchpaper at a ground where champions Juve have managed to lose five times since last tasting victory back in September 2000.
Defender Miguel Britos tried to prolong the visitors' poor run in Naples by equalising midway through the second half but Martin Caceres hit back before Arturo Vidal confirmed Juve's 3-1 win with a stoppage-time goal.
