Derry City were well beaten at the Brandywell on Thursday evening as they lost 2-0 to Belarussian opponents Dinamo Minsk.

Minsk captain Nino Galovic gave the away side the lead when he fired past Candystripes keeper Gerard Doherty from close range.

City's best chances came from the wings but the Brandywell men were unable to grab a goal.

Things went from bad to worse when Derry defender Conor McDermott recieved his second yellow card late in the second half.
