Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino says his side's Champions League dream is not over despite suffering a 1-0 defeat at home to Ajax in last night's semi-final first leg.
Donny van de Beek's 15th-minute goal put Erik ten Hag's young side firmly in the driving seat ahead of the second leg in Amsterdam next Wednesday.
Spurs failed to score in the Champions League for the first time in 21 matches but Pochettino remained defiant, saying: "We are alive. It's only 1-0 down. We need to believe we can go there and win the game.
"But our approach to the game was not good. I am the manager so I have responsibility."
Only one of the 17 previous teams to lose the first leg at home in a European Cup or Champions League semi-final tie has progressed into the final and that was Ajax in 1995-96.
