Europa League: Jurgen Klopp's Euro joy for Liverpool but it's pain for under-fire Celtic boss Ronny Deila
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for his team and goalscoring hero Jordan Ibe after their vital 1-0 win away to Rubin Kazan in the Europa League.
The victory means that Liverpool will qualify for the knockout stages if they beat Bordeaux at Anfield later this month.
Klopp said: "It was an important win for us. I thought we did really well. The lads fought for their lives which was great to see and for Jordan to score was great for him. He's a skilful player and a big talent. Like everyone he has a long way to go. If he's prepared to listen then he will be very good."
In contrast to the feelgood factor swirling around at Liverpool at the moment, Celtic suffered another Europa League loss last night - this time 2-1 at home to Molde - leaving them bottom of their group needing two wins against Ajax and Fenerbahce to go through.
The result piled pressure on Celtic boss Ronny Deila, who said: "I'm not thinking about my position. I want to be at Celtic and will work hard to turn this around."
Elsewhere Spurs beat Anderlecht 2-1 to go top of their group with Mousa Dembele netting a superb late winner at White Hart Lane.
