Manuel Neuer and Bayern Munich target more success after thrashing out deal
Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has signed a new five-year contract at Bayern Munich.
The 30-year-old put pen to paper on a new deal yesterday that ties him to the Bundesliga champions until 2021.
Neuer, whose previous deal was due to expire in the summer of 2019, follows team-mates Jerome Boateng, Thomas Muller, David Alaba and Javi Martinez in committing his future to the club until 2021.
He said: "I feel at home at Bayern and am happy that we have now got everything sorted.
"I am looking forward to the future with Bayern."
Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "He is the best keeper in the world and we are completely happy with his performances.
"We are happy that he has decided to stay with Bayern and sign a new contract." Carlo Ancelotti will replace Guardiola as Bayern boss in the summer.
