Ruthless Rosenborg axe their boss just days before clash with Celtic
The manager of Celtic's Champions League opponents, Rosenborg, has been sacked six days before they are due to take on the Hoops.
The Norwegian club announced on their website that Kare Ingebrigtsen had left with immediate effect.
The Norwegian outfit booked a second qualifying round showdown with Brendan Rodgers' men on Wednesday night with a 3-2 aggregate win over Valur of Iceland.
Rosenborg sit second in the Norwegian Tippeligaen, two points behind leaders Brann.
Scott Brown, meanwhile, hopes Celtic can improve on last season's win over Rosenborg.
The Bhoys struggled to a 1-0 win over two legs in the third round of qualifying last year, but currently look in fine form after seeing off Alashkert.
Moussa Dembele scored twice before James Forrest added a third on Wednesday as Celtic wrapped up a 6-0 aggregate victory.
"We played them last year and got a disappointing result at home, but went away and managed a 1-0 victory," said Brown. "We hope to do better this year."
