Everton establish nine-person leadership team as restructuring continues

Among the changes, head of finance Grant Ingles rejoins from Liverpool.

Everton have continued their restructuring off the field with the formation of a leadership team of nine key individuals.

All are executive director-level positions and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations across the club, supporting the board of directors and new director of football, Marcel Brands, and will be based at the Toffees’ new head office at the Royal Liver Building from July.

Among the changes, Grant Ingles rejoins from Liverpool, where he was head of finance, to take up the role of finance director, having previously performed the role at Everton between 2013 and 2017.

The new leadership team will also be supported by a head of strategy – to be announced in due course – and a head of football strategy, with Richard Battle being promoted to the position from head of academy performance.

Battle’s role will be to support Brands in embedding the director of football’s philosophy across all aspects of the club’s football activities.

“As a club it is imperative that we move forward and grow and I firmly believe this team will give us the opportunity to do that,” said newly appointed chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale.
