
Premier League football and other elite sports with testing regimes and bubbles in place will continue in England despite the country going into lockdown again.
England last night fell into line with Scotland, which earlier in the day had agreed that football and rugby clubs can continue to train and play as normal after introducing tough new restrictions for the public.
The Carabao Cup semi-finals, played this evening and tomorrow, along with 32 fixtures in the third round of the FA Cup, starting on Friday, are permitted to go ahead as EFL clubs are also exempt.
