Former Liverpool defender Gabriel Paletta leaves AC Milan by mutual consent
The centre-back enjoyed a four-and-a-half-year stint with Parma prior to moving to the San Siro in 2015.
AC Milan have terminated the contract of former Liverpool defender Gabriel Paletta by mutual consent.
The 31-year-old, who has not made a Serie A appearance this season, has been linked with a move to Turkey.
AC Milan director of sport Massimiliano Mirabelli wrote on Twitter: “The decision to rescind the contract with Paletta was agreed by mutual consent.
“I wish to salute a great man even more than a great player. An example of fairness, professionalism and sporting behaviour.
“All the best Gabriel, for everything that will come in your career.”
Paletta, capped three times by Italy, spent one year with Liverpool during the 2006-07 season and made just three Premier League appearances.
