Henderson close to Minstermen exit

Striker Liam Henderson looks set to be on his way out of York after League of Ireland side Cork City are reported to have taken over his contract.

The 22-year-old signed a two-year deal at Bootham Crescent last summer, but failed to make an impression as the Minstermen won promotion back to the Football League, making just seven appearances and ending up on loan at Forest Green.

And now the former Watford man appears set to move across the water to Cork, who won the League of Ireland last season.
