Alfie's girls have so much to Cro about after victory
Croatia 0-1 Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland women's side recorded a superb 1-0 victory over hosts Croatia at the Istria Cup.
Kirsty McGuinness' header in the 85th minute sealed the win as Alfie Wylie's side hit back in style after losing their opener 1-0 to Slovakia.
On that occasion a late goal rocked the girls in green but this time, in Umag, Northern Ireland conjured up a late decisive blow.
It was sweet revenge for Wylie's side as Croatia topped Northern Ireland 2-1 at the same tournament last year.
McGuinness was a constant threat throughout and her header home from a searching Julie Nelson free kick in the 85th minute gave the visitors victory.
The defence stood firm with Kerry Montogomery outstanding in front of the back four.
Northern Ireland's final match is on Monday against a Hungary XI, where victory may give them an outside chance of lifting the trophy, depending on other results amongst the eight teams.
These matches are the perfect preparation for key Euro 2017 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Italy next month.
