Bailey Peacock-Farrell wanted by Premier League side to replace England international
Burnley are set to make a move for Northern Ireland goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell, according to the latest reports.
The Mirror reports that the 22 year-old Leeds stopper is on the top of the Clarets' list to replace Tom Heaton.
England international Heaton is wanted by Aston Villa who make their Premier League return this season and Sean Dyche wants Peacock-Farrell to compete with Nick Pope for the number one shirt.
Former Manchester United keeper Heaton has been at Burnley since 2013, where he has made 200 appearances and helped the club win promotion from the Championship twice, first in 2013-2014 and then again in 2015-2016.
He only has one year left on his contract but turned down an offer at Turf Moor to extend it at the end of last season.
Joe Hart is also expected to leave the Lancashire club this summer after only one year at Burnley.
Peacock-Farrell was number one at his parent club Leeds United in the first half of last season playing 29 games in total but was dropped in January due to the arrival of Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid.
He made his international debut for Michael O’Neill’s senior side against Panama in a 0-0 draw last year before making his competitive debut against Bosnia in the Nations League at Windsor Park.
He has started all of Northern Ireland’s Euro 2020 qualifying games so far as the Green and White Army have picked up all 12 points available to them.
