Baraclough adds new faces to NI Under-21 panel
Northern Ireland Under-21s manager Ian Baraclough has welcomed fresh faces into his panel for the 2021 European Championship qualifiers later this month.
Baraclough's side - who began their Group B campaign with two draws against Malta and Finland - face Denmark in Aalborg on Thursday, October 10 before taking on Romania at the Anghel Iordanescu Stadium in Voluntari on Monday, October 14.
New to the panel are Celtic goalkeeper Liam Hughes, Chelsea defender Sam McClelland, who is stepping up from the U-19s, Glenavon defender Jack O'Mahony, defender Sean Graham - who is on loan at Larne from Blackpool - and Glentoran striker Paul O'Neill.
Manchester United midfielder Ethan Galbraith and Leeds United midfielder Alfie McCalmont, who both made their senior debuts in the friendly against Luxembourg last month, are back with the U21s for the matches.
Meanwhile, Northern Ireland Under-21 defender Jack Scott has signed his first professional contract with Wolves. The 17-year-old has penned a four-year deal with the Premier League club.
At 16 years and 353 days, he became the second youngest player in Northern Ireland Under-21s history, behind Liam Donnelly, when he featured against Finland in September.
Under-18s boss Steve Davis said: "Now the aim will be for him to keep developing, keep learning and keep listening."
