World Cup holders Germany have lost their opening match 1-0 in a shocking defeat to Mexico.

The underdogs took the lead when midfielder Hirving Lozano shot low to beat keeper Mauel Neuer in the 35th minute.

South Korea and Sweden make up the rest of Group F, with the two sides facing off against each other on Monday.

Germany went on to have a number of chances in the match but failed to convert.
