David Healy believes the Windsor Park factor can inspire Northern Ireland to another famous victory tomorrow night.
Nigel Worthington's men go into the World Cup qualifier with Poland knowing they must secure a home win to keep alive their hopes of going to the finals in South Africa next year.
Back in 2004 Poland won 3-0 in Belfast, though things have changed since then with nations such as England, Spain, Sweden and Denmark all unable to cope with the awesome finishing of Healy and atmosphere of Windsor.
Writing in his Belfast Telegraph column, Northern Ireland's record goalscorer stated: "With what we have achieved in the last few years, especially at home, there is a lot of expectation now when it comes to us playing games like this. But we’re ready for that. We’re desperate to keep our World Cup dream alive and know what is required.
"We have to believe — that has been so important in our big wins in the past. We should remember we are Northern Ireland, we are playing in front of the best fans in the world at Windsor Park where we can beat anyone."
