Kilmarnock midfield ace Sammy Clingan hopes Northern Ireland can produce promising performances in the next three friendly outings to help them hit the ground running in the Euro 2016 qualifiers.
The Belfast man is included in Michael O'Neill's squad for the Cyprus clash in Nicosia next Wednesday.
But Clingan is also looking forward to the friendlies against Uruguay in Montevideo on May 30 and Chile in Valparaiso on June 4.
Then the serious business starts with the Euro 2016 qualifiers kicking off with a tough assignment in Hungary on September 7.
"They are friendlies that we can look forward to," said Clingan.
"Hopefully we can get a good result over there, leaving us in a good frame of mind for the Uruguay and Chile games," he added.
"I always remember when I made my debut in America, it was a great tour.
"We played in the Giants Stadium and also Soldier Field so hopefully there will be a good turnout for all these friendlies.
"Luis Suarez is on fire for Uruguay and you also have Edinson Cavani.
"I made my debut against Uruguay in the Giants Stadium so it will be a great fixture, something to savour.
"There is controversy around Suarez but I thought he deserved a stonewall penalty against Arsenal.
"He's a world class player and a danger no matter where he is on the pitch and we must be alert to that."
