Northern Ireland goalkeeper Conor Hazard joins Scottish Championship side on loan
Northern Ireland Under 21 goalkeeper Conor Hazard has joined Scottish Championship club Dundee FC on an emergency loan.
Dundee have been forced into the move as regular number one Jack Hamilton has had to have surgery to remove his appendix and faces a spell recuperating.
Dundee boss James McPake said youngsters Calum Ferrie and Harrison Sharp are his only remaining options in goal.
Celtic stopper Hazard, 21, has previously spent time on loan with Falkirk and Partick Thistle and has played in all three Euro Under 21 qualifying games for Northern Ireland so far this season.
McPake said: “It’s very frustrating for Jack and the team. He has been fantastic this season and is a big player in our dressing room.
“We have had to act quickly and I’m delighted that we have been able to get someone of Conor’s quality in.
“He is a player who has played in this league over the past two seasons and also has experience of playing at international level.”
Hazard goes straight into the squad for tomorrow night’s match away to Ayr United and will wear number 20 for the club.
