Northern Ireland will host either the Republic of Ireland or Slovakia in the final of their Euro 2020 play-off in March, provided they defeat Bosnia in the semi-final.

Friday's draw in Switzerland saw Michael O'Neill's side granted home advantage at Windsor Park in the decider on March 31 if they can overcome Bosnia in Zenica five days prior.

Should they do so, then they will welcome the winners of the other semi-final between Slovakia and Mick McCarthy's Republic of Ireland, who also play on March 26 in Bratislava.

If the game is between the cross-border rivals then it will be the first time they have met in a competitive fixture since 1995.

Back then, Niall Quinn's opener for the Republic was cancelled out by Iain Dowie's equaliser in a 1-1 draw at the old Lansdowne Road in a Euro 96 qualifier.

This news will be a massive boost for the Northern Ireland squad, who will be confident of getting the job done in front of their passionate home fans should they do the business against Bosnia.
