Another international break and the Old Firm are tied at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a single goal in favour of Celtic the only way they can be separated.

It's compulsive viewing, waiting to see who will slip up first.

The run of seven games after this break until the end of the year may give us a better idea of where the title will end up.

Include European matches and the League Cup final and it's a really busy schedule for both Neil Lennon and Steven Gerrard.

Of the seven games for Celtic, five are at Parkhead where they haven't lost domestically since May 2018.

That stat alone will give the Hoops fans belief that come the derby match in late December, they will have the edge.

Rangers, on the other hand, have five matches away from Ibrox.

They dropped points at four of the venues last season - Motherwell, Hibernian, Aberdeen and at their Old Firm rivals. This run of fixtures will let the Rangers fans know if Gerrard's side have the resolve to stay with champions Celtic.

So as everyone counts down the days to the Old Firm game on December 29, don't be too hasty - there's still a lot of football to be played between now and then.
