Watch: Liam Boyce nets wonder-goal as Burton claim an end to goal of the season competition
Burton striker Liam Boyce netted a goal of the season candidate on Saturday afternoon as he helped Burton Albion to a 3-0 win at Scunthorpe.
The former Cliftonville forward scored his third goal in his last four League One appearances as the Brewers moved up to ninth in the League One table.
Kieran Wallace and Lucas Atkins had already put the visitors within touching distance of the victory and Boyce made certain sure of success when he dinked an audacious lob over a back-tracking goalkeeper and into the top corner.
In his typical nonchalant fashion, it seemed an effortless finish that has caused a stir on social media.
Haters will say this was a cross from @burtonalbionfc's Liam Boyce..😉— Quest (@QuestTV) April 13, 2019

It has been claimed by some that the chip was actually more of a cross gone wrong than an ingenious finish but Burton were having none of it.
Boyce has scored 13 goals for his club this season and manager Nigel Clough has already spoken of his fear that he could lose his top-scorer this summer.
"He's got a year left on his contract and I think for his international aspirations he has always wanted to play in the Championship," Clough said earlier this month.
"I would think there will be interest in him because he's a good player, a good striker, and despite a dip around Christmas time, he is in double figures.
"He has proved on his day, against some of the better teams in our Cup run what a good player he is."
Burton are nine points off the play-off spots with just four games remaining.
