Ballinamallard United have earned themselves a second crack at senior opposition this season.
The Championship side were knocked out of the Co-operative Insurance Cup by Portadown last month and now they will face Ballymena United in the last 16 of the JJB Sports Irish Cup after both won last night.
The 170-mile round trip was worth it for the Mallards, who will be on the road again in the next round, with another long journey to come.
Darren Higginbotham’s strike after 26 minutes saw Ballinamallard grab the initiative in the tie — which had been postponed on Saturday.
Four minutes into the second half the visitors doubled their advantage when Grant Hutchinson fired home a fine goal past Glebe goalkeeper Brian Kane.
Former Omagh Town and Linfield striker Andy Crawford scored the third with a free-kick just after the hour mark to seal the win.
