Ballinamallard boss Gavin Dykes signs former Stoke City Under 18 captain Ryan O'Reilly
Danske Bank Premiership strugglers Ballinamallard United have added a former Stoke City Under 18 captain to their panel.
The Mallards are rooted to the foot of the table, having picked up only five points from their opening 19 fixtures. And to try and improve that dismal run and catch Carrick, just four points ahead, they have announced the signing of Ryan O'Reilly.
The 22-year-old defender played for the Republic of Ireland at Under 17 level and the Cavan man is now returning home to continue his studies at IT Sligo.
O'Reilly could even make his debut at the Bangor Fuels Arena on Saturday, when Ballinamallard face Ards.
He had attracted interest from Manchester United and Everton before signing for Stoke. He headed out on loan to the National League with Wrexham and Barrow during his time in England.
